This course discusses how key policy objectives, such as congestion and air quality, are included in transportation plans. The learner will form an understanding on how demand management can be integrated into four levels of transportation planning. The content includes informational tools for evaluating demand management. The material is based on Integrating Demand Management into the Transportation Planning Process: A Desk Reference, Publication No. FHWA-HOP-12-035 Chapters 4 through 6.
